How a door actually works
The opener doesn’t lift the door. The spring does.
A sectional door is a counterweight system. The torsion spring stores the energy, the drums and cables carry the panels, and the opener only nudges a balanced door along the track. When something feels heavy or violent, the balance is off — and that’s a spring, cable or roller conversation, not an opener one.

I had two garage doors on a home I purchased that were rather loud. One had a loose chain that was visibly hitting and rubbing causing a lot of the noise. Conner came out, assessed the issues with both doors and provided an estimate quickly. I ended up having a tuneup done on both doors and now both are operating normally again. Conner took his time to adjust and lubricate all of the moving parts, sensors etc. My doors are much quieter now and operate as I would expect. The price was reasonable, Conner was very respectful, clean and hard working. I highly recommend Sloan's garage door repair and would use again if the need arises.
